A tired, rotting deck rebuilt into a clean, modern composite space that’s built to last.
Same layout. Completely different finish.
The original timber decking was starting to fail — rot setting in, boards moving, and overall just looking tired. The space itself worked, but the build didn’t. We stripped it back and rebuilt it properly using a full plastic substructure, so this deck won’t rot and won’t need replacing again in a few years.
Finished in a smokey grey composite, the whole area now feels sharper and more modern. The board layout was completely reworked into a picture frame design, with every line running clean and consistent — no awkward cuts, no misalignment, just a solid, high-end finish.
The steps were rebuilt from scratch, because if the steps aren’t right, the whole job isn’t right. Each one detailed to match the deck, all perfectly lined through. The old timber balustrade was removed and replaced with stainless steel and glass, opening up the view and bringing the whole space up to date.
With Hobens expert carpenters, there’s no second guessing — just the confidence that everything’s been done properly, safely, and built to last.
