A beautiful hardwood transformation for all you natural wood lovers out there!
The decking on this customer’s newly purchased property was badly in need of replacing. He decided upon using Yellow Balau; a naturally durable, hard & heavy tropical wood originating from South East Asia. This hardwood has a mixture of warm golden colours with lovely red-ish undertones.
With it's natural resistance to weathering & decay, Yellow Balau tends to be more readily available than that of other tropical timbers like Ipe, so it can offer fantastic durability, whilst also being a more cost effective option.
With pre-installed colour changing recessed deck lighting, the finish on this project is just beautiful. It is always a pleasure to transform a customer’s outdoor space and like every project, our need for perfection & a genuine passion for carpentry was poured into the last millimetre!
